Job Purpose
The mission of our Warehouse Associate role is to manage all warehouse activities to get customer orders out in a timely manner and keep all inventory, equipment and supplies organized. This person will handle all fulfillment, receiving, and inventory management. This includes fulfilling and shipping orders, receiving and stocking incoming shipments and returns, organizing warehouse layout based on product life cycles, and maintaining inventory counts.

Job Expectations

The work area for this job is our two warehouses (same location) that do not have air conditioning. We typically ship 5–15 orders per day. All shipments are sent out via mailer bags or small boxes, and inbound shipments are in boxes, rarely on pallets. We are a smoke free and vape free environment. The Hincapie Warehouse Associate will:

  • Maintain the on-site warehouses by ensuring all product is stocked in the correct location, reorganizing bins as necessary based on current inventory levels and incoming shipments
  • Fulfill customer orders daily. This includes pulling product, scanning it out of the system, packaging, and preparing shipping labels
  • Scan in and stock incoming products. We get two large shipments of new products per year for our spring and fall clothing collections; smaller fill-in and special release shipments come in throughout the year
  • Inspect incoming customer returns and process credits in the system; work with customer service manager for any returns not meeting requirements
  • Replenish inventory in our on-site retail store to ensure all products are in stock and available for purchase
  • Receive and store larger equipment shipments for our events company
  • Maintain an accurate inventory count within our software system by writing off damaged product
  • Assist entire team with annual company inventory count
  • Clean warehouses by taking out trash, organizing product, equipment and supplies, and sweeping as needed to keep the areas tidy
  • Work 20–25 hours per week; company may request additional hours as needed to assist with company events (some out of town travel required) but sufficient notice will be given

Key Job Competencies

  • High school degree or GED
  • Keen interest in the sport of cycling

  • Strong computer skills as all our fulfillment, receiving, and order processing is handled via our ERP system, Netsuite
  • Physically fit and able to do physical work. Pull heavy boxes off top shelves, move heavy and bulky boxes, and be willing and able to do physical work
