Design Resources

Creating your own custom kit is a collaborative process. Whether you have your design ready to go or you’re relying on our designers to bring your ideas to life, we’re here with you through the process, every step of the way. Let’s get started!

Vector Files

Our preferred format is vector files, such as .ai, .eps, or .pdf. These files retain their clarity and resolution when enlarged, making it easier for everyone to know who you’re representing.

High Resolution

We accept high-resolution files such as .jpg, .psd, .png, or .tiff. However, the file needs to be large. Helpful tip: Your file should be at least 1 MB in size.

Low Resolution

Unfortunately, low-res images aren’t going to deliver the design quality you’re seeking. If you found the image online, it’s probably too small for your jersey. Ask your organization for a higher resolution.

Design Guidelines

We want to make sure your kit turns heads when you’re flying down the road. Check out our design guidelines for helpful tips and standards to ensure you’re as happy with the look as you are with the fit. Want to add a logo, graphic, or image to your custom cycling kit or jersey? We can work our magic as long as the art you’re sharing can be scaled without becoming blurry or pixelated. Here’s a little guidance to ensure you’re picking the highest-quality image:

Colors

We use a digital printing process called full-dye sublimation, which broadens our color palette and provides you with infinite design possibilities. Keep in mind that colors may print differently on fabric than they appear on paper. We’ll always do our best to match your selection, but sometimes the color will be slightly different. If you’re concerned about color changes, ask your customer service rep for guidance.

Logo Usage

Don’t forget to obtain written permission from your organization, university, or team before beginning the design process. Logos should be provided in a vector format, such as an .ai, .eps, or .pdf file, to ensure high print quality. Added bonus: The Hincapie Sportswear logo will appear on your clothing as shown in our design templates.

Fonts

If you’re including text outside of a logo or graphic, please make sure to convert your font to outlines. If you are unsure how to accomplish this, please share the font name with your customer service rep so our designers can track it down or come up with the best possible match.

Design Templates

Before using our design templates, review our custom collections to identify the kit that best fits your riding style. After you’ve found your match, download a design template and begin using your imagination. We’ll work with you to ensure you’ve designed the perfect cycling kit. Of course, if you’d rather leave the design work to us, our team is ready for the project.
