Fort Worth is officially named third location for Gran Fondo Hincapie, in addition to the Greenville, SC and Chattanooga, TN events.
Hincapie Events is pleased to expand its signature event, the Gran Fondo Hincapie, to Fort Worth, the third announced city in the series. Key components of the Gran Fondo Hincapie format are standard routes of 15, 50, and 80 miles, as well as the high-end customer experience, best highlighted by the Celebrity Chef Dinner the evening prior to the ride.
The original Gran Fondo Hincapie, located in Greenville, SC, and now in its seventh year, has topped charts and received stellar reviews, acclaimed for the cycling celebrities in attendance, as well as the careful attention to safety, on-site viewing screens, course and segment timing, live tracking and streaming, live bands at the rest stops, and free family festival.
This same experience will be translated to the inaugural Gran Fondo Hincapie in Chattanooga on May 5, 2018, as well as the Fort Worth event, set to take place March 30, 2019.
The Fort Worth Gran Fondo will be headquartered at The Shops at Clearfork, a luxury shopping center, while the awards ceremony and family festival will be adjacent to Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop. Packet pickup will occur at the famous Joe T. Garcia’s restaurant. Catering will be provided by Lanny Lancarte II of Righteous Foods.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Gran Fondo Hincapie to Fort Worth,” says Rich Hincapie, CEO of Hincapie. “I was genuinely pleased with the enthusiasm of the local community, including Mayor Betsy Price, an avid cyclist herself. Fort Worth is an ideal location and community for an event of this nature. Everyone we’ve partnered with thus far is genuinely passionate about maintaining a customer experience known for luxury and attention to detail.”
To ensure yet another successful event, Hincapie tapped Fort Worth native, chef, and entrepreneur Lanny Lancarte II as Fort Worth Ambassador and Lead Chef.
“I’m honored to help bring the inaugural Gran Fondo Hincapie-Fort Worth to our city,” says Lancarte, owner and executive chef of Righteous Foods. “Fort Worth is the perfect place for this caliber of race and series of events, and we’re fortunate the talented team at Hincapie has chosen Fort Worth as the third city in their signature event series. I can’t wait for our cycling community to experience the Gran Fondo Hincapie.”
