Boise is officially named fourth location for Gran Fondo Hincapie, in addition to the Greenville, SC; Chattanooga, TN; and Fort Worth, TX events.
Greenville, S.C. – Hincapie Events is pleased to expand its signature event, the Gran Fondo Hincapie, to Boise, Idaho, the fourth announced city in the series. Key components of the Gran Fondo Hincapie format are standard routes of 15, 50, and 80 miles, as well as the high-end customer experience, best highlighted by the Celebrity Chef Dinner the weekend of the ride.
The original Gran Fondo Hincapie, located in Greenville, SC, and now in its seventh year, has topped charts and received stellar reviews, acclaimed for the cycling celebrities in attendance, as well as the careful attention to safety, on-site viewing screens, course and segment timing, live tracking and streaming, live bands at the rest stops, and free family festival.
This same experience will be translated to the inaugural Gran Fondo Hincapie-Boise, set to take place Sunday, July 14, 2019.
The event will occur in partnership with the Boise Twilight Criterium, with packet pickup headquartered at the Criterium on Saturday, and the Gran Fondo ride following on Sunday at the same start/finish as the Criterium, located right in front of the capital building. In addition to the cycling events, on Friday guests may enjoy gourmet samplings from renowned chefs at the Celebrity Chef Dinner, hosted at the Boise Zoo.
“We’re thrilled to continue the expansion of the series to Boise,” says Rich Hincapie. “It’s a beautiful place to ride, and the community has been great to work with.”
“The Boise Cycling Community was very excited to learn that our city will be hosting The Gran Fondo Hincapie,” says Bill Short, local cyclist and Gran Fondo Hincapie liaison. “This top-notch event brings cyclists from all over the world to our home town. We look forward to experiencing this amazing family event.”
