Can't make it after all?

Included in your Gran Fondo Hincapie registration is an event jersey (Gran and Medio only), medal, wristband, race number, and several other miscellaneous costs that cannot be reimbursed to the company. For that reason, the Gran Fondo Series has a strict no refund or event transfer policy on registration fees. This includes the following:

  • Participant will not be permitted to transfer the registration to a future ride in the same city.
  • Participant will not be permitted to transfer the registration to another Gran Fondo Hincapie event in a different city.

However, registrants are permitted to do the following:

  • Participant may transfer the registration to a different distance/route within that same ride (participant may incur costs if transferring to a longer distance). Participant may adjust this preference online by returning to his/her Race Roster registration.
  • Participant may transfer his/her registration to a different rider for the same event. Participant may change the registration online by returning to Race Roster before the online registration cutoff date. After this date, participant may transfer the registration on site at the event’s Packet Pickup location, but if the recipient needs a different jersey size, we cannot guarantee that we will have that size in stock.
  • Participant may request his/her race packet with clothing to be mailed out if he/she will be unable to pick up the packet at the event by contacting However, the request must be made prior to the event. If the participant requests a packet to be mailed after the event, we cannot guarantee that we will still have all items in stock, and the participant will be required to cover the shipping cost. We do not hold inventory for unclaimed packets after the ride starts.
